Q: What is vehicle recovery?

A: Recovery is where we obtain possession and remove a vehicle from its former owner and return it to the secured lender when the former owner is in default on loan payments. We only conduct these activities for banks, dealers, and loan agencies, not for individuals.

Q: What happens if the former owner of the vehicle is unwilling to turn over possession of the vehicle but is in default in his payments? What if the former owner has moved and cannot be located.
A: We have an in-house skip-tracing agent who is skilled at locating even the most elusive of former owner. Once we locate the former owner for a client, Anchor will immediately seek to repossess the vehicle.

Q: What do you do with vehicles once they are recovered from the former owner?
A: We take the vehicles back to our secured lot, inventory the personal property, and allow the former owner the statutory time to redeem the vehicle from the lender. If the former owner redeems the vehicle, there is a storage charge for the time the vehicle is maintained in our lot, charged to the owner.

Q: What does Anchor charge for recovery activities?

A: Our Recovery rates are reasonable and in accordance with the prevailing rates for reputable, bonded and insured recovery companies in the southeast.
